How to Fix iOS 16 Battery Percentage Not Showing on iPhone

Apple has just introduced iOS 16. Along with this operating system’s many added features, the battery percentage icon has been returned to the status bar. However, certain iPhone models do not have this feature.

Check out this article to find out why, then we will go over with the solutions.

iPhone’s Battery Percentage

It is known that Apple removed the battery percentage feature with the release of the iPhone X in 2017. This is for the reason that Apple has introduced the Face ID feature, among many other designs, in the said model. The battery percentage feature was eliminated to save space.

With the recent introduction of iOS 16, the battery percentage feature comes in handy. This allows users to always see their iPhone’s battery percentage without needing to swipe down to view it in the Control Center.

But before anything else, it is important to note that this feature is not available for the following iPhone models: XR, SE, 11, 12 mini, and 13 mini. Apple dropped the battery percentage feature because of limited space for status bar information on these models. But hang in there, XR, SE, 11, 12 mini, and 13 mini users, as we will discuss the solution to this issue as we go along.

On the other hand, users who own an iPhone X, XS, XS Max, 11 Pro, 11 Pro Max, 12, 12 Pro, 12 Pro Max, 13, 13 Pro, and 13 Pro Max shall be able to use this feature without any issues as this is available on the said models.
